Health and Safety
Most parents worry about the health and safety of their sons and daughters as they go off to college. College provides your student with the opportunity to take responsibility for his or her own health and safety concerns, and the University of Michigan provides many services and resources to promote the health and safety of the entire campus community.
In addition to the resources listed on the links above, if your student needs assistance during any critical incident, the Dean of Students Office can provide support and coordinate University assistance to meet your student's needs. A critical incident consists of any student emergency outside of the academic setting, including mental or medical health issues, death or serious illness in the family, auto accident, fire, and natural disasters.
